Welcome to OneLife Ministries. This site is designed to lead you prayerfully into a heart experience of Divine Presence, Who is Love. While it focuses on Christian teaching, I pray persons of varied faiths will find inspiration here. Indeed, "God" can be whatever image helps us trust in the Sacred, by whatever means Grace touches us each. Please share this ministry with others, and I hope you return soon. There is a new offering daily. And to be placed on the daily OneLife email list, to request notifications of new writings or submit prayer requests, write to barukhattah@embarqmail.com .

Opening Meditation
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art Thou my best Thought, by day or by night, Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
*Words, Dallan Forgail (8th Century). Stanza One of the hymn "Be Thou My Vision."
What was that red wine that just poured over my head, drenching my face in the delights of heaven, here ...?
I just saw myself and God dancing in the Mirror
I'm drunk But on what?
Don't give me an answer I'd rather be lost in this dallying with Grace
A creed crumbled outside Love laughed inside
God, you keep doing the funniest things with me, How could I not keep falling in Love with You again and again...?
*Brian K. Wilcox, "Dancing with God"
Sacred Teaching
An aged pilgrim was walking to the Himalayan Mountains in the bitter cold of winter, when it started raining. An innkeeper said to him, "How will you ever get there in this kind of weather, my good man?" The pilgrim answered cheerfully, "My heart got there first, so it's easy for the rest of me to follow."
*Anthony de Mello. Taking Flight.

To love is a decision, arising from the subsistence of Love in the Heart, at one with God and All. The Heart, wherein is Love, is the seat of all noble feeling and thought. All base feeling and emotion is a betrayal of the Heart, of God. In the Heart, all good is One. To touch your heart, is to touch God. Rest your heart in the Heart, and forget all else, for a time each day and night.
*Brian K. Wilcox

A more important question is not "What ought I to do?" but "What is my heart saying for me to do?" The more important query is not "Where am I?" but "Where is my heart longing for me to go?"
Yet, this heart is not the emotional aspect. This heart is the True Self, one with Divine Grace and all others - from which flows sublime sweetness.
When God speaks, the heart speaks in one with God. When the heart speaks, God speaks in one with the heart. There is no difference, for the heart abides in God. God is its true and only habitat.
Do not let anyone "kill" or "deaden" your heart. No human is worth your heart dying for, or losing your heartfulness for. True Love awakens the heart, edifies the heart, heals the heart, and blesses the heart with Graces plenty and spontaneous - with God.

Are you listening to the heart? What is your heart saying? When was the last time you followed your heart, and felt the joy of finding out you were guided wisely? Do you need to practice listening to your heart more?
